Fifty dollars reward. Ran away from the subscriber, living in Talbot county, near the Trappe, on Saturday night last, a negro boy about 17 or 18 years of age, by the name of Isaiah, slender made, about five feet 7 or 8 inches high, black, with a good set of teeth, flat nose, lively and free spoken – had on a blue jacket and new furred hat; his other clothing unknown. Twenty dollars will be given if taken in the county and secured in jail, or the above reward if taken out of the state, and returned to the subscriber.

Valuable Farm at Public Sale. Agreeably to the last Will and Testament of John Higgins, late of Talbot county, deceased.

Will be sold at public sale, on the 6th day of February next, the Dwelling Plantation of the said deceased (adjoining Abbott’s Mill, near the Trappe) containing four hundred and fifty seven and a half acres of land; one-half of which is in a high state of cultivation, well enclosed, the residue highly timbered; a part of the arable land might at a small expense be made valuable meadow. On said farm are a good dwelling house, with every necessary outhouse requisite for a family. As it is presumed any person wishing to purchase would view the property, a further description is deemed unnecessary. The above farm will be sold to the highest bider, on a credit of one, two and three years, in equal annual instalments, the purchaser giving bond with approved security, bearing interest from the date. Possession of the property will be given on the first day of January next, with privilege of seeding wheat next fall – Further particulars will be made known on the day of sale by,
